It is an early draft, i.e. not well-written and difficult to understand, but some of the ideas expressed within it will be discussed.  Click Here for Document.

TBD Men's Club, Men's* July Camping Trip
Friday, 7/28/17 - Sunday, 7/30/17

Want to get away from it all - a place where your cell phone, for sure won't work?  Try a "remote camp site" outside of Big Bear.  No pitching a tent next to a 30' motor home on this trip.
The idea would be to meet around 6:00 A.M. on Friday, July 28, camp out two nights, and return late Sunday afternoon on the 30th.

Activities:
  • Get away from the city/change of scenery, peace, quiet
  • Communal cooking
  • Camp Fires (fire conditions permitting)
  • Short exploratory hike Friday afternoon (optional)
  • Longer but leisurely picnic lunch hike Saturday (optional)
  • Shorter farewell hike on Sunday morning (optional)
Facilities include toilets, picnic tables and a barbecue pit.

Requirements:
Tent, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, clothes for two days, water, food (some will be shared), meds, and a backpack or other larger bag to store everything. (A much more detailed list will be supplied later.)
Costs:
Share nominal +$15/car for campsite, nominal food cost for Fridaybreakfast on the way, and at campsite, and possible cost of a shared SUV/higher clear vehicle.
Please indicate your interest as early as possible.  There are many details involved and we need to plan early:  transportation, meals, packing instructions, etc.
If Interested Please Contact Bill Joseph
A call is preferred:  323-420-4282 (many issues to discuss)

Don't miss the opportunity to hear this multi-faceted, accomplished musician. Cotler has composed a symphony, "The Golem," performed with the likes of John Denver, Jerry Jeff Walker, and Mason Williams, and won a Grammy for "Manhunt," one of the featured songs in the movie "Flashdance." Cotler is best known for his innovative Jewish music, from children's songs to adult-contemporary songs on Jewish themes - those of healing and peace, as well as Jewish musical humor. Come and hear Cantors from our community, followed by our headline performer, Doug Cotler, as they present an evening of wonderful Jewish music as well as love songs - a beautiful tribute to Francine and Marshall (z"l) Katz's contributions to our community.
